Description

A savory and moist turkey meatloaf loaded with crispy bacon, earthy mushrooms, and melted Swiss cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Add onions and garlic to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, cooked bacon, sautéed onions and garlic, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix until well combined and shape into a loaf.
  6. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, mix in some fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
  • You can substitute the ground turkey with ground beef for a richer taste.
