Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and salt until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan evenly and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. While the crust is baking, melt dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  5. Once the crust is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  6. Layer the pitted medjool dates on the crust, then pour the melted chocolate over them.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute almond flour with another nut flour if preferred.
  • For a more decadent treat, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer.
